For my final project for my Bachelorโs degree in Music Technology and Production, I composed and produced an original soundtrack for the silent film Le Voyage dans la Lune (A Trip to the Moon, 1902), directed by Georges Mรฉliรจs.
The soundtrack explores the sounds of electronic music combined with guitars, atmospheric and ambient sounds, as well as orchestral and cinematic textures.
The movie follows a group of astronomers who plan a trip to the moon. As the first science fiction film, it features groundbreaking special effects, such as stop-motion, double exposures, dissolves. It consists of approximately 13,300 to 14,000 individual frames, which were originally colored frame-by-frame by hand, and were later rediscovered, digitized, and fully restored.

This project was part of the course PUBLIC PROJECT during the final year of my college studies in Music Technology and Production. With myclassmates,George Drakopoulos and Giannis Ferguson, we created the RECYCLED SOUND AND MUSIC project. We made instruments from everyday objects and took old speakers and telephones and turned them into microphones. We sampled them, turned them into virtual instruments and created music out of these soundsโshowing the importance of recycling/upcycling and how you can create music from anything around you and be inspired. The project was presented, alongside works from other teams of our classmates, at the “ART/TECH Days” festival by ADAF and Cosmote, at Technopolis, Gazi, Athens 23-25 January 2026.
